There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.~ Oscar Wilde
Every person’s head is weaved through wants, needs, expectations, desires, ambitions, goals, satisfaction et cetra. At different levels.
We forget that the tragedies and miseries of life are just a by product of what we crave for. These miseries will not leave us. The tragedies and miseries of a life is just a reflection of what one wants (barring accidents).
These miseries will continue to grow, no matter who you are and no matter what you achieve. You are basically causing problems for yourself through your wants/needs and the day you achieve what you wanted to achieve, you will realize that it is not the end. It is basically a new beginning of another tragedy which is about to unfold.
Hence, there is no escape from tragedies, miseries and the vicious cycle of happiness/sadness. External events e.g work, relationships, achievements will not end tragedies.
If at all it ends one, it will already sow the seeds of another.
